Unprofessional Misdiagnosis

When I was 15 years old I pierced my own ears because I didn’t want to pay 80$ to get a simple piercing. When my parents found out they didn’t understand that it barely hurt and that it was actually common for people to do on their own. They jumped to the conclusion that it was a form of self-harm and that therefore I had depression. This was farthest from the truth, I just simply wanted an ear-piercing without the expensive cost that came with it.
